Season Finale!
Braselton, Georgia, October 31, 2018
After an exciting, hard fought IMSA GS season, AWA wrapped up with a top 10 championship finish with drivers Martin Barkey and Brett Sandberg and the MBRP, Ford Performance, Multimatic Mustang GT4.

Road Atlanta was shaping up to be a great race, after well executed stops and strategy, Sandberg was good to the end on fuel and making moves towards the front. Unfortunate contact while passing a TCR car left the Mustang GT4 damaged and in need of repairs that would ultimately see the duo finish 15th on the day.

Team principal and engineer Andrew Wojteczko said “First I want to say a huge thank you to Martin and Ginger Barkey for the opportunity to campaign the MBRP Mustang GT4, for their trust in my abilities and for the amazing experiences we’ve shared together. I know we’re all going to miss seeing Martin and Ginger at the track very much going forward.”

“To all of the AWA staff that pushed hard all year, thank you. To our team partners that helped make the season possible, MBRP, Tapped Muskoka, Gulf, Spyder, Projekt and OMP, you’ve all been instrumental to an amazing first season.”

“Finally I’d like to thank Multimatic and Ford Performance for providing a competitive race car, but more importantly the support needed to do customer racing correctly. Congratulations on a well deserved Manufacturers Title. We are thrilled to have been a part of it.”

With less than 8 weeks now until teams are back on track at the Roar Before, stay tuned for exciting news from AWA on the 2019 season!
